Residential and office building in Honduras
Tegucigalpa, Honduras
Set on a hill with a view to the majestic mountains and the city of Tegucigalpa, this project was inspired by the work of constructivist architecture of the 1920s and early 1930s. It is composed of two intersecting volumes, a curved volume housing the public areas and a rectangular volume housing the private areas. The curved building is more closed to the street side, maintaining privacy and opens up on the other side with floor to ceiling windows that bring in the views to the inside of the building. The apartments are all located on the rectangular volume with each floor having a different floor plan to accomodate the needs of each family.
